[A gift from the sea of Miketsukuni to enjoy spring] A new Japanese course of Sakuradai (cherry blossom sea bream) dyed in the colors of spring: "Awaji wild red sea bream sukiyaki"

Awaji Island, known as "Miketsukuni," has a history as a treasure trove of food, presenting numerous ingredients to the Imperial Court. In spring, Awaji Island becomes awash with color, and the season for the spring-colored seafood "Sakuradai," with its subtle hint of cherry blossoms, is upon us. Counted among the spring seasonal words, Sakuradai has been loved by the Japanese since ancient times and considered to be the finest. It is a branded ingredient of Miketsukuni, Awaji Island, that accumulates nutrients and becomes delicious from March to May. It is said to be at its most delicious during this time of year, when the fish have accumulated nutrients in preparation for spawning, are packed with high-quality fat, and are even more delicious.
